Google Indexing
To ensure your property pages are found and correctly indexed by Google, a few settings and measures are recommended. WP-ImmoMakler supports several SEO mechanisms that improve the visibility of your listings in search engines.
Schema.org Structured Data
Section titled “Schema.org Structured Data”WP-ImmoMakler automatically enriches list and detail pages with JSON-LD according to schema.org — including Product, RealEstateListing, Accommodation, Place, RealEstateAgent, ItemList, AggregateOffer, and Event schemas for viewings and 360° virtual tours. This allows both classic search engines and AI-powered answer engines to recognise your listings as property offers with price, location, energy data, and contact person.
For details on which schemas are output, how to enable or disable them, and the benefits for SEO, AEO and GEO, see the dedicated article Schema.org Structured Data.
SEO Title and Meta Description
Section titled “SEO Title and Meta Description”WP-ImmoMakler automatically generates SEO titles and meta descriptions for every property page based on the listing data (title, marketing type, property type, location, price).
SEO Plugin Integration
Section titled “SEO Plugin Integration”If you use an SEO plugin such as Yoast SEO or Rank Math, these plugins automatically draw on the titles and descriptions provided by WP-ImmoMakler.
- Yoast SEO: Configure integration
- Rank Math: Configure integration
Sitemap
Section titled “Sitemap”If you use an SEO plugin with sitemap functionality (Yoast SEO, Rank Math, Google XML Sitemaps), property detail pages are automatically included in the sitemap — provided the properties are set to publicly visible.
Submit the sitemap in the Google Search Console so that Google discovers your pages more quickly.
Controlling Indexing
Section titled “Controlling Indexing”Excluding Properties from Indexing
Section titled “Excluding Properties from Indexing”If certain properties should not be indexed by Google (e.g. internal reservations or test listings), you can set them to Draft in WordPress or assign the No Index status via an SEO plugin.
Avoiding Duplicate Content
Section titled “Avoiding Duplicate Content”If the same property is accessible via multiple URLs (e.g. through filter parameters), it is advisable to set up canonical tags. Modern SEO plugins handle this automatically.
WP-ImmoMakler keeps the property overview’s technical URL variants — sort links, infinite scrolling, map frames — away from search engines via its robots.txt rules. Crawling and Search Console describes which addresses these are and what your server needs to provide for this to work.
Monitoring Indexing
Section titled “Monitoring Indexing”
Check regularly in the Google Search Console whether your property pages are correctly indexed. Pay attention to:
- Crawled and indexed pages
- Page coverage errors (e.g. 404 errors from deleted properties)
- Core Web Vitals for property pages
Optimising Load Time
Section titled “Optimising Load Time”Fast load times are an important ranking factor. Make sure that:
- Images are compressed (e.g. via an image optimisation plugin)
- Caching is enabled — for more information: Caching Plugins
- Your hosting provider supplies sufficient server resources
