Ilogu WordPress Plugin: Import Properties Automatically

With WP-ImmoMakler, properties from Ilogu are published on your WordPress website fully automatically. The connection is made via the standardised OpenImmo export that Ilogu provides directly in its portal settings. Once the connection is set up, the automatic import takes care of new and changed properties, so you never have to upload anything manually.

In Ilogu, open Settings > Portals > Add portal (available at https://www.ilogu.de/).

Create a new portal there and enter the access data for your web server, either via FTP or via SFTP/SSH:

  • Portal name: A descriptive name, e.g. “Website”, “Homepage”, or your domain name — this helps you keep track if you have multiple portals.
  • Subdirectory: /openimmo/ in the WordPress root directory by default. If your WordPress installation runs in a subdirectory, enter the full path from the FTP root instead, e.g. /clickandbuilds/app/wordpress_1/openimmo/.
  • FTP port: 21 by default.
  • SFTP/SSH port: 22 by default.

After saving, Ilogu exports the property data as OpenImmo XML to the specified directory at regular intervals. WP-ImmoMakler automatically fetches the data from there whenever the import runs — either manually via the import screen or in the background via a cron job.

Tip: After the initial setup, check with an FTP program that files are actually arriving in the specified directory before triggering the first import in WordPress. This saves you unnecessary troubleshooting if the access data isn’t quite right yet.

If you also want to showcase already brokered or sold properties as references on your website, set up a second, separate portal interface in Ilogu that additionally exports to the subdirectory /openimmo/referenzen/. WP-ImmoMakler automatically recognises this directory and marks all properties it contains as reference properties — no separate configuration in WordPress is required for this.

You can learn how to display reference properties on your website in the article Displaying reference properties.

If you have any questions about setting up the interface, our Support team is happy to help.
