estatePro WordPress Plugin: Import Properties Automatically
WP-ImmoMakler is the WordPress plugin for estatePro: it automatically transfers your properties from estatePro to your WordPress website via the OpenImmo interface.
Prerequisites
Section titled “Prerequisites”- An estatePro account with an activatable OpenImmo export (portal interface)
- The FTP or SFTP credentials of your web server — you can obtain these from your web host
- A WordPress website with WP-ImmoMakler installed; the plugin automatically creates the transfer directory
/openimmo/
Creating a Portal Interface in estatePro
Section titled “Creating a Portal Interface in estatePro”To connect estatePro to WP-ImmoMakler, create a new portal interface in estatePro and enter the FTP credentials for your WordPress server. You can then export your properties from estatePro to the /openimmo/ directory on your web server.
Choose a descriptive portal name, e.g. “Website”, “Homepage” or your domain name.
For further information on the configuration, please refer to the estatePro user manual.
Provider Number and FTP Folder
Section titled “Provider Number and FTP Folder”- Provider number: Any number — typically “1” if you are the sole provider
- FTP folder: By default
/openimmo/in the WordPress root directory. If WordPress is installed in a subdirectory, enter the full path from the FTP root, e.g./clickandbuilds/app/wordpress_1/openimmo/
The /openimmo/ directory is created automatically when the plugin is activated.
Transferring Reference Properties
Section titled “Transferring Reference Properties”To display already brokered properties as references on your website, please read the article “Displaying Reference Properties”.
No separate integration service appointment is required for questions about the estatePro connection. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact our Support.
How the Automatic Import Works
Section titled “How the Automatic Import Works”Once set up, estatePro transfers an OpenImmo file to the /openimmo/ directory of your website with every export. From there, WP-ImmoMakler takes over: the plugin processes incoming files automatically, creates new properties, updates changed ones, and removes properties that were deleted in estatePro. For a reliable rhythm, a server cron job is recommended.
Photos, floor plans, and documents from the export are automatically imported into the WordPress media library. Whether processed files are deleted afterwards and whether you would like to be informed by email about successful imports can be configured in the import settings.
Frequently Asked Questions about estatePro and WordPress
Section titled “Frequently Asked Questions about estatePro and WordPress”What happens to sold or rented properties?
Section titled “What happens to sold or rented properties?”That is up to you: with the option “Mark properties flagged as sold/rented as reference properties” under Settings: Import, brokered properties remain visible on the website as references. Otherwise, the behavior depends on your export: if estatePro sends a deletion command or no longer transfers the property, it disappears from the website. For more details, see Displaying reference properties.
Are images, floor plans, and documents transferred?
Section titled “Are images, floor plans, and documents transferred?”Yes. All attachments from the OpenImmo export — photos, floor plans, PDF documents — are automatically imported into the WordPress media library. Image quality can be adjusted under Settings: Import; from WP-ImmoMakler PLUS onwards, images can additionally be converted automatically to the space-saving AVIF format.
Do I need to do anything else after the setup?
Section titled “Do I need to do anything else after the setup?”No. Trigger a one-time full export in estatePro so that the complete inventory is transferred — after that, synchronization runs automatically. You do not need to log in to WordPress for this.
Can I use estatePro in parallel with other sources?
Section titled “Can I use estatePro in parallel with other sources?”Yes. WP-ImmoMakler processes several sources at the same time — e.g. estatePro in parallel with an ImmoScout24 account or with properties created manually in WordPress. The inventories of the individual sources are synchronized separately from each other.
