DeepL Translation

WP-ImmoMakler can automatically translate property texts during import via the DeepL API. Translation is only triggered for properties that are not marked as German-language.

Setup

1. Create an API Key

Create an API key in your DeepL account. Instructions are available at https://support.deepl.com/hc/en-us/articles/360020695820.

2. Configure DeepL in WP-ImmoMakler

Navigate to your WordPress admin (wp-admin) under WP-ImmoMakler → Settings and enter your API key. Then activate the integration.

3. Select an API Plan

Choose the appropriate API plan:

DeepL API Free: Free up to 500,000 characters per month
DeepL API Pro: Paid, depending on character volume

Automatically Translated Fields

When a property is not marked as German-language and the option Automatically translate property texts is active, the following free-text fields are translated during import:

The target language is automatically determined from the property’s language code.

Translation Notice on the Frontend

On detail pages of translated properties, the following notice is automatically displayed:

Note: The texts on this page have been partially translated automatically. The German-language version of these texts is binding.

The notice appears when the post meta field _translated_fields is set.
