Immowelt WordPress Plugin: Connect Immowelt.de to WordPress
WP-ImmoMakler is the WordPress plugin for Immowelt: it retrieves your properties directly via the Immowelt API and publishes them automatically on your WordPress website.
What Is the Immowelt API?
Section titled “What Is the Immowelt API?”The Immowelt API is a programming interface that allows property data and images from immowelt.de to be retrieved automatically. WP-ImmoMakler uses this interface directly — no separate real estate software is required. You can also use the Immowelt connection in parallel with other sources, e.g. simultaneously with your real estate software, an ImmoScout24 import, or with listings created manually in the WordPress backend.
Note: A connection to immowelt.at or immowelt.ch is not possible, as these platforms do not provide an API interface.
Requesting an API Key
Section titled “Requesting an API Key”Send an email to api@immowelt.de and include your Immowelt customer number. For Immowelt partners, the API key is free of charge.
Setting Up the Connection
Section titled “Setting Up the Connection”Navigate in the backend of your website (wp-admin) under WP-ImmoMakler > Interfaces > Immowelt and enter the API key you received.
Then activate the automatic import under WP-ImmoMakler > Property Importer. Once activated, your properties will be synchronised automatically without you needing to log into WordPress regularly.
Reference Properties
Section titled “Reference Properties”The Immowelt API only transfers active listings. If you want to display already brokered properties as references on your website, you have the following options:
- Parallel connection of a real estate software that supports reference properties
- Tagging via keywords (e.g. “Reference”) in the title or description for automatic assignment
