Mailchimp

WP-ImmoMakler can optionally add visitors who fill out the property contact form to a Mailchimp audience. An additional newsletter checkbox appears in the contact form for this purpose.

Setup

1. Create an API Key

Create an API key in your Mailchimp account. Instructions are available at https://mailchimp.com/help/about-api-keys/.

2. Configure Mailchimp in WP-ImmoMakler

Navigate in your website’s backend (wp-admin) to WP-ImmoMakler → Integrations → Mailchimp and enter your API key. Then activate the integration.

3. Select an Audience

After saving, your Mailchimp audiences are listed. Select the audience that should be available for subscription via the contact form.

Subscription Flow

The visitor fills out the contact form and checks the newsletter checkbox.
After the inquiry is sent successfully, the visitor is added to the selected Mailchimp audience with status pending (double opt-in).
Mailchimp sends a confirmation email. Only after clicking the confirmation link is the status changed to subscribed.

After submission, a corresponding message is displayed in the form:

Already subscribed: “Thank you, you have already signed up for our newsletter in the past!”
Confirmation pending: “Please confirm your newsletter subscription via the link in an email you will receive shortly!”
Error: “Unfortunately, the newsletter signup has failed!”
