estateOffice WordPress Plugin: Import Properties Automatically
WP-ImmoMakler is the WordPress plugin for estateOffice: it automatically transfers your properties from estateOffice to your WordPress website via the OpenImmo interface.
Prerequisites
Section titled “Prerequisites”- An estateOffice account with an activatable OpenImmo export (portal interface)
- The FTP or SFTP credentials of your web server — you can obtain these from your web host
- A WordPress website with WP-ImmoMakler installed; the plugin automatically creates the transfer directory

Creating a Portal Interface in estateOffice
Section titled “Creating a Portal Interface in estateOffice”To connect estateOffice to WP-ImmoMakler, create a new portal interface in estateOffice and enter the FTP credentials for your WordPress server.
The portal name makes it easier to identify the connection later — choose something like “Website”, “Homepage” or your domain name.

Provider Number and FTP Folder
Section titled “Provider Number and FTP Folder”- Provider number: Any number — typically “1” if you are the sole provider
- FTP folder: By default
/openimmo/in the WordPress root directory. If WordPress is installed in a subdirectory, enter the full path from the FTP root, e.g./clickandbuilds/app/wordpress_1/openimmo/
The /openimmo/ directory is created automatically when the plugin is activated.
Transferring Reference Properties
Section titled “Transferring Reference Properties”To display already brokered properties as references on your website, please read the article “Displaying Reference Properties”.
If you have any questions about the setup, please contact support. A separate integration service commission is not required to connect estateOffice.
How the Automatic Import Works
Section titled “How the Automatic Import Works”estateOffice exports your properties as an OpenImmo file via FTP or SFTP to the /openimmo/ directory of your website. WP-ImmoMakler checks this directory regularly — most reliably via a server cron job — and processes new files fully automatically: new properties are created, changed ones are updated, and properties removed in estateOffice are also removed from the website.
All images, floor plans, and documents from the export end up in the WordPress media library. The plugin can then delete processed files automatically, on request with a success notification by email — the details are controlled by the import settings.

Section titled “How quickly do changes from estateOffice appear on the website?”As soon as estateOffice has transferred a new export to the /openimmo/ directory, WP-ImmoMakler processes the file during the next import run. How often estateOffice exports is configured in estateOffice; the import frequency on the website is determined by the cron job.
What happens to sold or rented properties?
Section titled “What happens to sold or rented properties?”That is up to you: with the option “Mark properties flagged as sold/rented as reference properties” under Settings: Import, brokered properties remain visible on the website as references. Otherwise, the behavior depends on your export: if estateOffice sends a deletion command or no longer transfers the property, it disappears from the website. For more details, see Displaying reference properties.
What happens if I delete a property in estateOffice?
Section titled “What happens if I delete a property in estateOffice?”If estateOffice transfers a deletion command or a full sync without the property, it is also removed from your website. You can exempt reference properties from this — with the option “Ignore deletion commands for reference properties” under Settings: Import.
Can I use estateOffice in parallel with other sources?
Section titled “Can I use estateOffice in parallel with other sources?”Yes. WP-ImmoMakler processes several sources at the same time — e.g. estateOffice in parallel with an ImmoScout24 account or with properties created manually in WordPress. The inventories of the individual sources are synchronized separately from each other.
