Create Archive Template

With WPBakery Page Builder you can design the property list view (archive). You have two approaches: the Property List View on a template page for the actual list view with search form, sorting and pagination, or the Property Grid for a selection of properties on any page.

  • WPBakery Page Builder
  • WP-ImmoMakler (any edition)

WPBakery has no theme builder: you can design individual pages with it, but you cannot store a layout as a template for the property list view. A template page takes care of this: you design a completely normal WordPress page with WPBakery and register it with WP-ImmoMakler as the list view. WP-ImmoMakler then displays this page at the address of the list view (usually /immobilien/) — and likewise in category views such as /immobilien-arten/wohnung/ and at filtered addresses.

You can leave the Plugin handles list and detail views option enabled: a template page takes precedence.

Option A: Property List View (quick start)

Section titled “Option A: Property List View (quick start)”

The complete element renders the entire property list using WP-ImmoMakler’s proven HTML template.

  1. Create a template page

Create a new page under Pages → Add New, for example with the title “Template: Property List View”, and open it in the WPBakery editor.

  2. Insert the element

Click Add Element and search for Property Listview. Add the element to the page.

  3. Configure options

Optional: Disable the display of the page title if your theme already outputs it.

  4. Register as the list view

In the WP-ImmoMakler Template panel, select List view (properties) under Use as and publish the page.

  5. Test

Open the property list view on the frontend (usually /immobilien/).

The Property Grid displays properties as tiles in a configurable grid. It is particularly suited for home pages or landing pages where a selection of properties should be shown.

  1. Create or edit a page

Create or edit the desired page and activate the WPBakery editor.

  2. Insert the element

Click Add Element and search for Real Estate Grid. Add the element to the page.

  3. Configure the grid

    OptionDescription
ColumnsNumber of columns (1–4, default: 3)
LimitMaximum number of displayed properties (1–12, default: 3)
Additional attributesFurther shortcode parameters in key="value" format
  4. Save and test

Save the page and check the result on the frontend.

The list view can be adjusted via:

  • WP-ImmoMakler Customizer under Appearance > Customize > WP-ImmoMakler
  • CSS customizations in WPBakery’s CSS editor on the element
  • WP-ImmoMakler Child-Skin-Plugin for deeper template modifications

WPBakery’s backend editor shows a simplified preview. To see the result with real property data:

  1. Save the page.
  2. Open the property list view on the frontend — for a template page at the address of the list view, not at the address of the template page itself. For the Property Grid, open the page where you inserted it.
  3. Verify that the list view is rendered correctly.
