Permissions & Roles

WP-ImmoMakler extends the WordPress user roles with its own permissions (capabilities) for managing properties and contacts. Which role may access what is determined by these capabilities.

Administrator

The Administrator role automatically receives all WP-ImmoMakler permissions. These include:

• Manage settings – access to all settings pages under WP-ImmoMakler → Settings.
• Manage import – set up and run imports.
• Manage CRM software & portals – configure interfaces and portal connections.
• Manage properties and contacts – create, edit, publish and delete.

These permissions are assigned to the Administrator role automatically and do not have to be granted manually.

Editor

The Editor role can view and edit properties and contacts – but only if the Enable rights for editors option is switched on. This option is enabled by default.

You will find the setting in the back end of your website (wp-admin) under WP-ImmoMakler → Settings → General.

When the option is active, editors are granted permission to create, edit, publish and delete properties and contacts. If the option is disabled, these permissions are revoked again.

Note

The setting affects the Editor role as a whole – not individual users. If you want to grant access only to certain people, assign them the appropriate role or use a plugin for role-based permission management.

Other roles

Other default roles (Author, Contributor, Subscriber) receive no permissions from WP-ImmoMakler to manage properties or contacts. If these roles need access, you can assign the permissions individually using a permission management plugin.

Tip

For finer control – such as custom roles or individual permissions per user – established plugins for role and permission management are a good fit. The capabilities listed above can be assigned to any role through them.
