Migrating to Divi 5

WP-ImmoMakler supports both Divi 4 and Divi 5. The plugin automatically detects which Divi version is active and provides the appropriate modules. No configuration is required on your part.

Automatic detection

On a website with Divi 4, WP-ImmoMakler loads the classic Divi 4 modules. On a website with the active Divi 5 engine, WP-ImmoMakler instead loads the new, native Divi 5 modules for the supported module types. There is no switch or setting — the selection happens automatically based on the active Divi version.

Note

Native Divi 5 modules are only visible and usable in Divi 5. In Divi 4, only the classic Divi 4 modules appear. Conversely, in Divi 5, the native modules take over the display of the supported module types.

Which modules are natively available for Divi 5

Nearly all WP-ImmoMakler modules are now available as native Divi 5 modules: the 1-Click list and detail view, image gallery and photo gallery grid, property data, area and price lists, key detail boxes and icon list, description text, energy certificate, downloads and links, contact details, contact form, contact person photo, location map and videos — plus, with WP-ImmoMakler Plus PLUS, the energy certificate chart, the virtual tour, the search form, the map property list, and the Propstack newsletter sign-up.

These modules do not yet have a native Divi 5 counterpart and continue to run in compatibility mode under Divi 5:

Existing layouts on migration

When switching from Divi 4 to Divi 5, your existing layouts are preserved:

• For every module with a native counterpart, the Divi 5 Migrator automatically converts existing instances to the native Divi 5 module. The existing settings (e.g. map height or the show/hide toggles of the detail view) are retained.
• The three modules listed above continue to run in compatibility mode under Divi 5 and are still displayed correctly.

Caution

Pages that use modules in compatibility mode also load the Divi 4 framework. This may increase the loading time of these pages. Pages that exclusively use native Divi 5 modules are not affected.

Performing the migration

1. Create a complete backup of your website (files and database).

2. Update WP-ImmoMakler to the latest version to ensure the native Divi 5 modules are included.

3. Activate Divi 5 following the Elegant Themes guide.

4. Start the Divi 5 Migrator to convert existing layouts to the Divi 5 format.

5. Then check your list and detail views in the Visual Builder and on the front end.

Post-migration checks

• List and detail views are displayed correctly on the front end.
• The location map shows the correct height.
• Videos are displayed, or a placeholder appears if no videos are available.
• Modules without a native Divi 5 counterpart (data table, Cancellation Button, Cancellation Form) continue to be displayed.

Tip

If you want to rebuild an already converted module from scratch, delete the old module in the Visual Builder and insert the same-named native Divi 5 module afresh.
