Fotocasa XML Feed

WP-ImmoMakler provides an always up-to-date XML file of your properties in the import format of the Spanish property portal Fotocasa. Fotocasa reads this file regularly and publishes your properties there, so you don’t have to maintain them in the portal by hand.

The format follows Fotocasa’s import documentation: XML schema, example file and dictionaries.

Requirements

A Fotocasa account as an advertiser that takes over properties via an import file
A WordPress website with WP-ImmoMakler installed (all editions)

Setup

In the backend of your website (wp-admin) under WP-ImmoMakler → Software/portals → Fotocasa XML:

Enable the option Provide Fotocasa XML and save.
Copy the “Adresse der Importdatei” (German label, not yet translated) that is then displayed.
Give this address to Fotocasa as the import file for your account.

Optionally, enter contact details under Contact person name, E-mail and Phone, which Fotocasa will use for all properties, for example your office’s central contact. If the fields are left empty, each property gets the contact person assigned to it in your CRM software.

Which properties are transferred?

The file contains all published, available properties that are neither reference properties nor development projects (the units of a development project are transferred). The following are also not transferred:

Properties without a purchase or rental price, as Fotocasa has no “price on request”
Properties with a currency other than euro

Which data is transferred?

Property number, title and description (property description, features and location)
Purchase price and/or base rent
Property type, automatically mapped to Fotocasa’s property types (flat, penthouse, maisonette, house, semi-detached house, office, shop, warehouse, parking space, plot, etc.)
Street, house number and geo coordinates
Floor, bedrooms, bathrooms and guest toilets
Living area, total area and plot area
Features such as lift, air conditioning, heating, balcony, terrace, garden, pool, parking space, fitted kitchen or furnishing
Year of construction, condition and orientation of balcony or terrace
Energy certificate with efficiency class and value
Up to 50 photos, floor plans, videos and virtual tours
Contact person with name, e-mail address and phone number

If the address of a property is not approved for publication in your CRM software, WP-ImmoMakler does not transfer a street. Fotocasa then shows only the surrounding area of the property on the map. If only the house number is missing, Fotocasa shows the street without a house number.

Updates

The file is regenerated after every property import and after every manual edit of a property. When Fotocasa retrieves the file is up to Fotocasa.

Frequently asked questions

In which language do the title and description arrive at Fotocasa?

Fotocasa takes over a property as a Spanish-language listing. If a property also exists in Spanish with WPML or Polylang, WP-ImmoMakler transfers the title and description of the Spanish version. Otherwise the texts are transferred in the language of your website.

How is the number of rooms transferred?

Fotocasa counts bedrooms, not rooms. WP-ImmoMakler therefore transfers the number of bedrooms. If it is not specified, WP-ImmoMakler counts one room as a living room and transfers the rest as bedrooms, so a 3-room flat appears at Fotocasa with 2 bedrooms.

In which format does the file contain the photos?

As JPG or PNG. As with the Kyero XML feed, the file links to the unchanged original photo; converting to WebP or AVIF under Settings: Import only affects your own website.

Can I exclude individual properties from the transfer?

Yes, with the filter immomakler_fotocasa_include_property. With the filter immomakler_fotocasa_listing you can also change the data of a property before it is written to the file. Both are described in the hooks reference.
